“Fah” is the name that everyone uses to call me. I serve as an English interpreter for Nine Thai Cuisine. I am given the responsibility to manage and take care of Nine Thai Cuisine’s customers on behalf of my father, Mr. Krich. Currently, I am working as a Export Manager in Excellent United International Co.,Ltd. The company is the leading exporter of foodstuffs to the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Middle East.

After studying in Australia for 7 years, I obtained a bachelor degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Being the first son, my father wants me to come back to help manage our family-owned businesses, so I came back to Thailand right after my graduation. Nine Thai Cuisine was just a regular restaurant until our customers came to us in January 2008 to use our place for their wedding. My father thought it is a good opportunity for Nine Thai Cuisine to expand our business to include wedding planning as well since he always mentions that it is a “business of happiness.” Although the profit might not be as big, he wants to go along with it because he believes that this business is going to bring happiness to our family. This is because, there will be prayers and blessings from the monk every time the wedding takes place. In addition, all the couples who set up their weddings at Nine Thai Cuisine would also give blessings to all our family and staffs after the wedding ceremony.

I shared the same opinion with my father about the business of wedding planning, so I started coming into this business when given the opportunity. After I learned all the how-tos in Nine Thai Cuisine, I began to serve as an “MC” with “Ajan Pod’ every time there is a wedding ceremony. Up until today, I have the experience of being the English interpreter in more than 300 weddings because a lot of our foreign customers who are married to the Thai woman usually come to Nine Thai Cuisine for their wedding. I usually provide service to all our foreign customers because I trust that the experience I gained from being in Australia for 7 years are adequate to fully perform the job.
During the wedding ceremony, no matter it is Monk Blessing Ceremony, Khan Mak Ceremony, Engagement Ceremony, or even the wedding party are all the beautiful art and traditions of Thai culture. These cross-cultured ceremonies are hard for foreigners to understand, but I was able to make use of English as a medium to explain and make clear of our unique ceremonies to all the customers, making the ceremony seem more magical. By being able to understand all the Thai customs fully, the couples usually leave the wedding ceremony feeling graceful and impressed.

I believe that Thailand is filled with beautiful customs that are unique to our culture. Communication has always been the problem that limits foreigners to fully understand our traditions and customs. However, I believe that my work experience from more than 300 weddings make me perfect for the job. As an English interpreter, I will try my best to explain and answer all the doubts about Thai customs for you.
As for all the Thai brides who are getting married with foreign grooms, I want to guarantee that Nine Thai Cuisine will not let you down. We will work with our full capacity to make sure your future husband understand you, your family, your society, and your long-lasting culture well.
